320Chili won Equilibrio Prize 2010 with the short format “Ai migranti“

SHORT DESCRIPTION

Migrations are movements that animals regularly do in a cyclic way every year, along precise routes and travelling for very long distances.

Migrations are a flow of  people, on foot or by sea, that have a few torn clothes and wide opened eyes, frayed nerves and a heart that stops, and waits for what there is beyond.

Migrations, going forward walking backwards, looking at the past and then turning around to realize that we have walked a lot.

Migrations are an instinctive necessity for external and internal movement.

JURY MOTIVATIONS

«Ai Migranti of 320Chili, offers a poetical and emotionally effective example of collective work. The artists/performers have well achieved a fusion of their different formation experiences, obtaining a coral and harmonic result, inspired by a relevant event of our age, migrations, something that concerns us all. The jury has appreciated the capacity of creating vocative and pictorial images, a result obtained with few tools and challenging the usual language of their discipline. The jury encourages 320Chili to maintain and develop this approach.»
